Seniors Helping Seniors
Serving Morris County, NJ
Seniors Helping Seniors, Morris County is a family business owned by Doris Dorey, Tricia Izadi and Sue Erskine. Doris and Sue are sisters and Tricia is Sue's Daughter. Our Dad (Tricia's grandfather) was our inspiration for launching Seniors Helping Seniors. He was an active, successful businessman who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in his mid-70’s. Despite the illness, he retained a positive outlook on life and a wonderful sense of humor. As the illness progressed our family personally experienced the challenges and rewards of being caregivers and providing respite for our stepmother who lovingly cared for him at home. We were fortunate to find two wonderful, senior caregivers who enriched our Dad's life, providing companionship and allowing him to continue activities he loved, including golf and walking. Our personal experience led us to Seniors Helping Seniors as we saw firsthand the tremendous value that caring seniors can make in the life of another.
Seniors Helping Seniors was co-founded in 1988 in Reading, Pennsylvania by Kiran and Philip Yocom. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years. Currently, Kiran serves as our organization's Chairwoman and Philip as the President/CEO of our organization.
